Hot for the weekend?

We're offering ad space!...It's real hot out there...Flagstaff stitch n bitch... Tucson vampire beach party.... and a free weekend event from LOOKOUT

Letter from the Editor

Hello Kiki readers!

A little over a month ago, we redesigned and revamped our newsletters to be more community-focused, and easier for you all to digest what's happening in Arizona and your own cities.

It's been wildly successful, and you all continue coming back week after week to read more and schedule out your social life with our Kiki Calendar.

But we're running up against a business truism: more time on this costs more money to do this. Unfortunately, less than 3% of our readers are paid subscribers to LOOKOUT. That amounts to roughly $1,000 a month in paid subscriptions. As you can imagine, that doesn't even cover the rent or sustain two full-time workers.

Which means that we have two choices: a paywall, or ads.

We don't believe in paywalls. And we have vowed never to guard information from the community solely based on who can afford it. So, we're going to start offering sponsorships and ad space in our newsletters and magazines.

You might have already noticed an iteration of that in our last two Kiki Calendars: organizations, individuals, and businesses can showcase their events in a highlighted standalone box.

We are also offering limited sponsorships for our newsletters, and community ad space in our magazines. If you want to learn more about those opportunities, simply respond back to this email and let us know!

-Joseph Darius Jaafari
