Kiki with LOOKOUT!

LOOKOUT's community newsletter on culture, events, and happenings!

Letter from the Editor.

Hello Kiki readers-

Summer in Southern Arizona is especially painful, because it often feels like we're trapped inside our homes.

That's why LOOKOUT is partnering with multiple organizations these next few months to do a talk series to get out of your house and socialize amongst like-minded (or even some not-so-like-minded) folks to grow your social circle. We call these events our Summer of Solutions events, and people have been raving online about them.

If you missed our first one last month, it was all about the future of LGBTQ+ politics, where we took over Boycott Bar on Melrose and toasted each other while discussing some hard truths about politics in this state.

At the end of this month, we have six people from all over Arizona coming to One-n'-Ten's offices on July 21 to discuss the joy of being a queer parent or the parent of a queer child, while also acknowledging the difficulties they face in education.

It's sure to be an enlightening discussion, and we're honored that our friends at the Arizona Mirror are co-moderating the chat with us.

If you want to go, tickets are very limited, and first dibs go to paid subscribers and donors.

We hope to see you there!

-Joseph Darius Jaafari
